Teen Witch

I almost forgot. Remember in the last post how I mentioned I have a great husband? Well I forgot the most important reason why!

He let me buy Teen Witch. And agreed to watch it with me. Shannon, you can come to the party, too.

Here's a clip of the movie that proves how rad it really is.

Finally...a real vacation to blog about

Scott and I made it down to St. George last week for a quick visit with his family and a little R&R. It's been amazing.

The day before we left, Scott and I started talking about Twinkies. It came out that I had never actually eaten one before. So on the drive down we changed that.

Twinkies are disgusting. I felt like I was eating a pillow.

We made it to Fiesta Fun where I creamed Scott and my sister Chelsea in a competitive game of mini-golf.

We went to one of my most favorite places in the entire world. Yum.

And I should mention what a good husband I have. First, he walked around Tai Pan with me for an hour while I tried to figure out what kind of flowers I wanted to buy for our apartment. I finally settled on some green hydrangeas. Scott told me later that while I was picking them out they looked like a head of lettuce.

Disclaimer - I didn't buy all of these. It's just a picture from google.

And last but not least...he had scheduled an appointment for me to have the most amazing massage here -

Pure heaven.

It's been a pretty good trip to say the least. I'm sad we have to come home tomorrow. But life is good. Life is really good.

Amazing Historic Getaway Back East

Since everyone was going on some exotic vacation - Sam and Terri Anne, Tracy and Rachel, Bob and Sue, Matt and Tazbaa (2 vacations!), and Chelsea and Kelsey - and no one invited me, I ended up feeling a little jealous. So...

Scott and I went on our own vacation. He wanted to take me back east to see where he grew up. We saw some of the sights and it was freaking amazing.

We started out on the famous transcontinental railroad. Boy was it a thrill!

Then we made our journey through some of the scarier parts of this country:

The sad cotton candy machine...with no cotton candy (and a scary door leading to who-knows-where).

And the dark corner. Enough said.

On our way to beautiful Washington DC, we stopped at the famous Mt. Rushmore.

What a sight!

Finally we arrived! It was time for some sightseeing.

First we saw some monuments that were erected to celebrate the efforts of our former leaders.

Here I am at the Lincoln Memorial
And here is Scott enjoying the beauty of the Washington Monument.
We even had time to squeeze in a quick game of golf. This is near where Scott got his first hole in one. Congratulations, honey!

After the beautiful sights of our nation's capital, we left for New York City. On our way, we were able to see the historic location of Washington's famous crossing of the Delaware River.

Finally, our last stop. NYC! I didn't get a picture of the Empire State Building, but here's a picture of me in front of the Statue of Liberty.

We had a great time. It was the trip of a lifetime. Thank you Liberty Land. Thank you.
